The Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 is the pop-up headlight sibling of the Corolla Levin, built from 1983 and powered by the 4A-GE twin-cam four. As the last rear-wheel-drive Corolla, it became a cult favourite in Japanese touring car racing and later in drifting, and its light, boxy hatch shape remains instantly recognisable. This Auto Scale Collection shell is a pre-painted, pre-decorated 1/27 body for the Kyosho Mini-Z Racer chassis, supplied without chassis or electronics. Older ASC releases such as this one are long out of production, and the AE86 in particular is sought after by Japanese-car collectors.
