The Corvette C8.R marked Corvette Racing's switch to a mid-engine layout, debuting in the 2020 IMSA season as the competition version of the C8 Stingray. Corvette Racing fielded two cars that year in contrasting schemes, and this model wears the grey/silver one rather than the more familiar yellow. As a Mini-Z RWD Ready Set it comes on the rear-wheel-drive chassis with the KT-531P transmitter included, so only batteries are needed to run it. The RWD platform suits the C8.R's long wheelbase and gives a looser, more realistic driving feel than the AWD chassis.
